Zoom is a conference tool that allows you to create and join video/audio meetings using either a computer or phone. You can also share your screen and webcam video during the conference.
Always use Zoom outside of the cloud.
Scheduling a Zoom Meeting
- Go to https://www.zoom.us and login with the credentials provided by IT.
- Click on Schedule a Meeting
- Adding your configurations and then click on the Save button.
- It’s recommended to select Both Audio so participants can join using their computer or phone
- Once you’ve created the meeting click on Outlook Calendar .ics and it will download a file.
- Once downloaded run the file and it will open a New Meeting window with the Zoom meeting information already filled in.
Click on Invite Attendees to add email addresses of individuals who are also attending the meeting.
Don’t forget to book a meeting room!
Joining Your Zoom Meeting
- Double click on the Zoom icon on the desktop
- Click on Join a Meeting
- Enter your Meeting Code and a name for yourself.
- When you join the meeting click on Participants
- On the bottom right click on Claim Host
- Enter the host key 391597
