Modified on Thu, 19 Dec, 2019 at 3:53 PM

It is company policy to routinely change passwords for cloud accounts. You will receive email notifications 7 days before expiry, 3 days before expiry and finally 1 day before expiry.

The maximum password age is 30 days. If your password is older than this, your account will lock itself automatically and the only way to unlock it is to contact the IT department.

Password Requirements

For a password to be accepted it must meet the following requirements:
  • Must be a minimum of 7 characters long
  • Must contain an uppercase character
  • Must contain lowercase characters
  • Must contain a number
  • Must contain a non-alphanumeric character
    e.g. ~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|\(){}[]:;"'<>,.?/
  • Cannot contain your first name or last name
  • Cannot contain Red Snapper Group
  • Cannot contain Acumin

“But these passwords are hard to remember!”

To ensure you remember your password it’s suggested to use a random and add a combination of characters and symbols to the suffix to meets the requirements.

For example, a secure password would be Barbican06!

Keep that password but simply change the number depending on which month it is and repeat that process throughout the year.

Do not by any means write these passwords down on a post it or store them in an unprotected file
